Information about the Seafarer Portal, professional profiles, documents, verification, vacancies and future account services.
The BFOA Global Seafarer Portal is being developed as a connected digital environment for professional maritime profiles, documents, verification and recruitment workflows.
The portal is a digital environment designed to bring together seafarer professional profiles, maritime documents, certificate information, sea-service records and recruitment workflows.
The current website is the Phase 1 public interface. Secure account management, authenticated document storage and live database services will be connected during the backend implementation phase.
The registration interface is available for the future account system, but live account creation is not active in Phase 1.
Secure document uploading is not active in Phase 1. The Document Centre provides the public structure for the future authenticated document workflow.
AI-based document pre-checking may assist with document recognition, text extraction, expiry checks and consistency indicators. AI assistance does not replace official verification by an authorised authority.
The verification interface is designed for authorised records and verification references. Live verification sources will only be connected where an appropriate authorised source is available.
No. Any automated or AI-assisted result is intended only as a preliminary support tool. Official acceptance or verification remains with the applicable authorised authority, issuer, employer or other competent source.
The future module can structure vessel name, vessel type, flag, rank, sign-on date, sign-off date, service duration and applicable supporting records.
Authenticated record management will be available after the backend account system is implemented.
Current opportunities are intended to be published through the Maritime Vacancies section.
Requirements vary by rank, vessel, employer, flag, assignment and applicable regulations. Candidates should maintain current professional certificates, identity documents, training records, sea-service evidence and medical documentation as applicable.
You can prepare your professional profile and use the Contact Support page for recruitment-related enquiries.
No. The Phase 1 public interface does not provide the production account authentication system. Do not submit real passwords or confidential documents until secure account services are enabled.
The planned backend can include authenticated accounts, secure password handling, session controls, verified email workflows, controlled document access and appropriate audit controls.
For portal, profile, recruitment or general seafarer-related enquiries, use the support contact page.
BFOA Global portal information, automated checks and recruitment interfaces should not be treated as a replacement for certificates, approvals, verification or decisions issued by the applicable maritime administration, flag State, certificate issuer, employer or other competent authority.
